Erase everything on your phone
- Open Lumio.
- Tap the gear on the home screen to open Settings.
- Under You, tap Forget me.
- Confirm with Forget me. Lumio starts again, fresh.
This immediately and permanently erases:
- your anonymous id;
- your kindness journal — every letter you've kept, and the lines you sent;
- your streak and exchange count;
- your preferences and onboarding history;
- the evening reminder, if you turned it on.
It can't be undone, and we can't restore any of it, because we never had a copy. Deleting the app erases the same things.
What Forget me doesn't reach
- Anything you've shared. Cards you've sent to other apps or saved to your photos are outside Lumio.
- Your device backups. iCloud or Google backups made before you erased Lumio may still contain its data, as they do for every app; they're managed in your Apple or Google account.
- Letters other people kept. Someone you exchanged with may still have your line in their journal. It carries nothing that identifies you.
What exists on our server
Very little, and none of it contains your name, email or phone number, because Lumio never has them.

After you use Forget me, your phone gets a new anonymous id with no connection to the old one, so any server records tied to the old id can no longer be linked to you — or to anyone. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Ask us to remove something
You're welcome to ask us to delete server-side records. Write to us via our contact form and say “Delete my data”.
Because Lumio has no accounts, and doesn't show your anonymous id in the app, we usually can't tell which records are yours. It helps to tell us roughly when a relevant exchange or report happened. We'll delete anything we can connect to your request, confirm what we did, and tell you plainly if we hold nothing that can be tied to you. We reply within one month, and you never need to tell us who you are beyond the address you write from.
Operational logs never hold your line or your id, and delete themselves within days, so for most people there is simply nothing left to remove.
